   Proposal Description:
   The goals of the proposed research are to assess the frequency of parental family history of dementia when the participant carries 0, 1, or 2 APOE e4 alleles and to evaluate the frequency of clinical dementia among participants with different combinations of parental family and APOE e4 dose.   The planned analyses will shed some light on the utility of family history as a proxy for genetic risk, as well identify factors that may modify the association between APOE and dementia.
